- By means of a balance weight beneath the base plate attached rigidly to the frame, the center of gravity of the whole machine, including the cube and mould, is brought either to the eccentric shaft, or within a distance 25mm below it.

ASEW-166 - Needle Vibrator :ASTMC 403 The laboratory Needle vibrator is used in vibrating concrete test cylinder and beams in the field or laboratory.
- It is also widely used in making laboratory specimens, in making concrete products, in experimental work, and in small scale construction projects.
- The vibrator is electrically driven and is easily controlled.

- It is for conducting Brazilian test on 75mm dia x 25 mm thick samples and can be used for compression tests on 70.6 mm cement mortar cubes also. Comprises a hand operated hydraulic jack provided with self retracting piston fixed on the base of a load frame Loads are recorded on a pressure gauge 0-5 tonne x 25 kg and a maximum pointer is provided for the breaking load indication. Semi-cylindrical loading strips are provided for Brazilian test and two hardened and ground platens are provided for compression test.

- Permeability Tests: IS : 1727; IS : 1645 : Consists of: Specimen container ring of 100 mm diameter and50 mm high, held between a bottom plate and a water cell. The Water cell of 100 mm diameter brass cylinder and the top and bottom
- Plates of brass or any other non-corroding metal. Each cell with collar is clamped in between a base plate and a top plate with the help of tension rods and nuts.

Cement Mortar and Concrete Permeability ASEW-173
- Permeability Testers, IS : 3085. Consists of the following
- Permeability Cell-Consists of a metal cylinder with a ledge at the bottom for retaining the specimen, a flange at the top, removable cover plate and a funnel. A rubber or neoprene 0-ring or gasket, seated in matching grooves, between the cell and the cover plate to render the joint water-tight.
- Water Reservoir-Consists of a length of metal pipe, 50 to 100mm in diameter and about 500 mm long. The reservoir fitted with a graduated side arm gauge-glass, and the necessary fitting and valves for admitting water and compressed air and for drainage, bleeding and connection to the permeability cell.

ASEW-178 - Vicat Apparatus, Modified: IS: 2545 (Part-I) Functions both as a standard Vicat Apparatus and modified Vicat apparatus. It is used for determining the normal consistency of hydraulic cement, gypsum plaster and lime, and the setting time of hydraulic cement, gypsum plaster & gypsum concrete. Supplied complete with a needle,, three plungers and a brass weight.
ASEW-179 - Gillmore Needle apparatus : ASTM C-91, C-14I, C-266, C-414.
- For determining setting time hydraulic cement.
- The apparatus consists of a base with a vertical shaft and two horizontal arms, the lower arm being adjustable of height. Supplied complete with one initial needle, one final needle and a glass bade plate.
ASEW-180 - Southard Viscometer: IS: 6932 Part VI) For adjusting the consistency of lime putty mixture. Consists of a metal cylinder of 500 mm internal diameter, mounted over a wooden plate form. A close fitting piston with a working stroke of 65 mm moves up and down without rotation inside the cylinder. A metal bridge measures the degree to which the ejected cylinder of putty has slumped. Complete with one lime putty density vessel.
